Speaking of Instagram, if you follow me, you may have seen these incredible photos this past weekend!
Since I blog for a living, it got me invited to a local Mommy Blogger event hosted by the Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin Dells! We travel there at least once per year {if not more}, since it gets nice and cold here and it's the perfect place to getaway and play in the warm waterpark and theme park! It is definitely our happy place, so when we received the invite to hang out there for the weekend with other blogging families, we happily accepted! {you can read more about our last visit here}
Pretty incredible right?
Kalahari is Wisconsin's largest waterpark and includes something to do for everyone, of all ages! That is why it works for our crazy family of five! My oldest hits up the mega slides while my middle guy goes surfing! And my youngest has endless hours of toddler play areas to roam! It's a family paradise!
We spent the majority of the day within the waterpark.
But they also have this insanely incredible indoor theme park, which is truly every kid's fantasy!
Go Karts, Ferris Wheel, Mini Golf, Climbing Wall, Laser Tag, Bowling, an Arcade and Rope Course, there was SO much to do!
It was a good thing we had two days. Or we never would have been able to do it all!
The indoor Ferris wheel is one of our favorite things to do. It is tradition to hit it up and snap a bunch of family photos!
One of the above and beyond things they offered us, was the experience of making our own pizzas...
And then heading over to the fire for a reading of the Kalahari book, "Are We There Yet?"
The kids {and US!} were so tired, that after the reading, we went back to our room and fell right to sleep...
The Kalahari wanted to offer up a great deal to my readers, so you can head over to their site here and check out their specially reduced rates and packages.
They are also giving a night away! That's right, a FREE night stay in a Hut or Desert Style Room with complimentary indoor theme park passes {for up to four guests} in the Wisconsin Dells! I also have an additional four indoor theme park passes to give away as well!
a Rafflecopter giveaway
We really can't thank the sweet friends over at the Kalahari for the incredible experience and for allowing us to take a break from the cold and holiday chaos to get away with our family.
We made so many new memories that we will forever cherish!

It looks like you had a truly awesome weekend! :) x

Looks like you guys had a blast!
ReplyDeleteI've never been there, but always drive by and wonder! it looks like a blast for kids, plus close to that fantastic outlet mall.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! I've never been but I want to go :-)
ReplyDeleteThat place looks awesome, we keep talking about going there but haven't booked it yet! A free night or some free passes might really force us to get our weekend booked! Love all your pictures, like always! Your boys are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow this place is awesome! It didn't look very busy!? Is this their low season?! We NEED to take the kids!
ReplyDeleteWe have been there when it is really busy and this last time, it surprisingly wasn't. I am guessing it slows down around the holidays, which is why they are letting us give a night away and offer a special discount. Even when it is busy, it doesn't feel like it, since there is so much room and so much to do. :)
Deletexo,
Jen
We love getting away to WI Dells for some indoor waterpark fun. It's been years since we've been to Kalahari, but we plan to go there in February. We've been visiting the Wilderness for the past couple years. So much to do in the Dells!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of you and your family. You are all so adorable!
We're only a few hours from the Dells, would love to go! Looks like you guys had a great time!
ReplyDeleteWe took my son to the zoo last year for the first time. It was fun to see his reaction.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite family vacation was when I was just about 10 yrs old and my family went down to the Florida Keys. We stayed at a campground in our trailer and rode our bicycles every where. We didn't do any big activity, but that vacation still sticks out above all the rest.
ReplyDeleteWe love the Dells - we go every year too, although we always go to Chula Vista. Would love to go to the Kalahari! My favorite vacation is one of our trips to Duluth. With a little boy, we spend HOURS at the shore throwing rocks in the lake and I love every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteMy fav vacation memory was going up to Phelps, WI every year with my family and cousins--we rented cabins and had the best time! Can't wait to start making memories like that with my 3 girls!
ReplyDeleteAw... so fun!! Glad you Guys had a good time!!!
ReplyDeleteMy family vacation memory was visiting the beach every year to see family. It's nice to spend quality time with those we don't get to visit very often, and how convenient it is for us that they live close to the beach ;)

We love the Kalahari!! Looks like you had a blast!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite vacations were always skiing with the family. I would love to check this place out! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMargy
With the kids still being pretty young we haven't gone too far from home for a family vacation. Last year we did take them to the Dells and had a blast. We are actually planning another trip out there. Will have to look into Kalahari!
ReplyDeleteWhen my son was about 18 months old, we spent a week in Aruba...by far the best vacation we've had yet as a family!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!!! You have a beautiful family! LOVE that place!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's a great waterpark resort! Will have to keep it on my list of possibilities with the kids.
ReplyDeleteWisconsin Dells was a normal family vacation as I was growing up. I have still yet to share the fun with my kiddos and would love to win!
ReplyDeleteWe are looking forward to making favorite family vacation memories! I've been a full time student since our second daughter was born 5 years ago, so we enjoy a lot of 'stay-cations' at home. :)
ReplyDeletemy honeymoon in Florida!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite vacation memory was our honeymoon in TN!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite family vacation memory is of our trip to Walt Disney World. As wonderful as WDW is, I think my favorite part was all of us crawling in bed at the end of the day; watching TV, snuggling and eating junk food in bed...not something we do at home...eating junk food that is. I love snuggling with my three boys :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun filled vacation!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE the dells, we have lots of great memories there :)
ReplyDeleteHello from a fellow WI mom of 3 sons! Believe it or not, my family has never gone anywhere for longer than 4 days! Once a year, my husband gets a long weekend off from work. We typically visit, you guessed it, a waterpark! Our favorite was visiting the Tundra Lodge in Green Bay, with a trip to Bay Beach and Lambeau Field, of course! My boys had a blast and can't wait to do it again!
ReplyDeleteWe love that place!
ReplyDeleteWe drive through there a couple of times a year but have never stopped. Maybe we'll have to give it a try, my nephew would love it!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I had no idea you were from Wisconsin! How could I have missed that? :) I will be looking at your blog in a whole new light now! Ha! Favorite vacation memory? Attending a wedding at DisneyWorld!
ReplyDeleteFavorite vacation memory is spending endless hours talking and laughing with our friends that we rarely see. Nearly every summer we spend a week with them -- visiting the beach, playing Euchre and watching our children play together as if they were family.
ReplyDeleteWe've been wanting to go! This would be a great break!
ReplyDeleteThe kalahari is my favorite resort in the Dells! It would be such a nice winter getaway
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amzing place!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite family vacation memory is when we went to Disney World with some family friends.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a blast! We are from Northern Michigan, and have heard of it, but never been there!! Jessica Anderson
ReplyDeleteLooks super fun! Our favorite family vacation so far, was a trip to St Louis -- the City Museum is so fun!!
ReplyDeleteMary Claire
We've been there once and it was fantastic! It would be great to go again.
ReplyDeleteWOW!! I have been wanting to take my family here forever!!! Thank you for offering this opportunity!!! My favorite family vacation memory...my family and all of my parent's friends and their kids would drive to Walt Disney World and have a blast at the parks and swimming at the hotel.
ReplyDeleteI have lived in WI for over 10 years and I have never been to the Kalahari! The kids would love it.
ReplyDeleteKelly Plaisance
What a great vacation! My kids would love it there. My favorite vacation memory was seeing my kids at the ocean last summer for their very first time. We've been to Disney and Universal, which they loved, but they went on and on about the ocean. :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got away for a bit. My kids love the Dells too. We were going to try and go back next summer. :) Last time we went, we played at the Great Wolf Lodge.. never been to the Kalahari.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had so much fun Jen! I love this place, we went there once for a conference, but did not get to stay overnight :( I hope we win my family would love it!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite family vacation memory was swimming with my grandpa in Michigan. It just seemed so cool that he would actually swim with my sister and me.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a particular favorite family vacation memory, but rather think of the many camping trips our family makes together. Earlier this year we drove (from WI) to Colorado and South Dakota, tent-camping along the way. The kids loved it, and we were exhausted, but happy. :)
ReplyDeleteWe've been to there a few years ago and the kids loved it!
ReplyDeleteLive in the Fox Valley area! Love your blog. We would love this trip..... My kids are just old enough now to appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteOur family LOVES the Kalahari! It is great because both our teenager and toddler have fun and have a variety of things to do at the resort.
ReplyDeleteOur family really enjoys waterparks. We took our girls to one in Mosinee, WI and had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteLast March, my family took a road trip with our extended family (15 people)to Minneapolis Minnesota from Michigan. While visiting family we made many memories. We made a quick lunch break in the Dells. Looks like a fun time:-)
ReplyDeleteThis would be awesome! We love to go to the Dells in the Spring but have never gone to Kalahari! My kids would have a blast.
ReplyDeleteI think I just love family vacations, no matter where we go! It is nice to get away and just enjoy each other. <3 We are planning a Kalahari trip in January for my son's basketball team, this would be fantastic to win!!! Thanks for the opportunity. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE WI Dells, but have never stayed at the Kalahari. It looks like you had a wonderful time! One of our favorite family trips was a trip up to Cable, WI where we stayed at the Telemark Resort. We did all the usual summer things - hiking, swimming, frisbee golf, grilling, etc. It was so memorable to my son that he wrote a book out it for school:)
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE the Dells (and Kalahari)!! It's great to escape the cold WI winters and pretend you're someplace warm for a weekend :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a blast! We have always lived close to the Dells, but for some reason have never gone! One of my favorite vacations was when our family went to Disney World. Even though it was hot and sticky, everyone had a great time spending time together and enjoying all the parks :)
ReplyDeleteWe haven't taken a family vacation yet, except to visit our WI family...but we're planning a trip to the Dells this winter for a vacation with our 3 year old twins and whatever family wants to come visit us, so we would love to win!! I grew up going to the Dells, but that was in the summer, before they had winter options. Thanks for sharing your fun!
ReplyDeleteWe've been to The Great Wolf Lodge, but looks even more amazing! All kinds of new things to try. I know my son would be all over the surfing.
ReplyDeleteI love the Kalahari!!!
ReplyDeleteWe took our little to Disney a few years ago, and he still talks about it at least weekly. We made some amazing memories! But, we just had our daughter about a month ago, and we're already talking about fun places to go once she's a little older, so I have to say that we're in the process of making our favorite vacation memories as a family of four =)
ReplyDeleteThe Kalahari was awesome when I was there several years ago and since that time they've added so much. I'd love to go back
ReplyDeleteWe have not been to the Kalahari. Looks like a great place to spend with family!
ReplyDeleteChristine
Our favorite vacation was taking our boys to Duluth. We love it up there. We have never been to Kalahari before but would love to go!
ReplyDeleteWe always drive by this place on our way to Minnesota and comment every time how fun it would be to stay there. My son has a January birthday so this would be an awesome way to celebrate! I have 3 boys too and I'm sure they would love it as much as your boys do in the pictures...what great memories you have captured!

My favorite family vacation memories have to be the ones from our annual family stay at our cabin...we have been going there since I was about 8 and now my boys enjoy it with their cousins. (They get the luxury of indoor plumbing which I did not have as a kid). We all squish in and sleep wherever we can and are kind of dirty all week and it is the best ever!
ReplyDeletenanetteromo@comcast.net
Every year since I can remember my family and I went to the Dells with another family! It was always a much anticipated trip for all.
ReplyDeleteWe love going to the twin cities. My kids love everything we've done there...zoos, Children's Museum, underwater adventure... We try to get there 2x per year and would love to travel a little farther and go to the Dells!! Traceyfroemke at drtel dot net
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to take my family to Kalahari! Usually our family vacations involve hunting of some sort.
ReplyDeleteWe live in Iowa, we have gone to outdoor waterparks, but would love to head to the Dells. We have 2 active boys (10 & 6) and our favorite memories are the car rides filled with all kinds of stories & games and of course the waterparks where we all feel like kids:)
ReplyDeleteLove the Dells!
ReplyDeleteWould love to take my sons here.
ReplyDeleteDestination vacations are the best. Look like you had fun. I'd love to take my daughter there!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite family vacation memory was taking my kids on a cruise, they had a blast. Their weren't many kids on the ship so they were basically catered to by all the staff, they of course loved it!
ReplyDeleteWow this place looks great!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite vacation memories come from our annual summer trip to a resort with my husbands family. Many Many memorie made there!
ReplyDeleteif you ever venture up to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (not sure why you would haha) but if it happens you have to check out WEM World Waterpark. it's the best place to get away from all the snow and cold up here and feel like you're out in the sun. i've been going there since i was a kid and now we take our little ones.

ReplyDeleteWe've never been and living in AZ have never even heard of this amazing place. My family of four would be so thrilled to visit such an all in one family adventure!
My favorite family vacation is actually just our simple weekend get-aways. Our oldest son just turned two and our little guy is three months old so we haven't had much of a chance to explore the world, but we have big plans.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite vacation memory is going to Walt Disney World last Halloween
ReplyDeleteOur favorite vacation of all was a week in a cabin in north central Wisconsin about 4 years ago with all of the family! We hope to do again when we can afford and get all 6 kids together.
ReplyDeletethanks so much for hosting!

My favorite family vacation memory was watching my sweet 3 year old fall in love with the ocean in San Diego. We visited 8 beaches in 6 days & she could not get enough <3
ReplyDeleteMy favorite family vacation memory was taking our daughter to Disneyland last summer for the first time. She was in complete awe!!
ReplyDeleteI like it. I am very positively and pleasantly surprised. Have a nice day and all the best.
ReplyDeleteKind of silly comment/question...I love your elastic headband thing with a (crocheted?) yellow flower on it? I live in these headbands during summer and I LOVE this! Where did u get it? Thanks!
