playing blog catchup

We have been busy busy bees.  Mostly with baseball season, some home projects, field trips, birthday parties, a romantic getaway, picnics at the park, the end of the school year and play dates.  Doesn't get better than that!

Baseball began for Peyton last month.  It is his second year on a coach pitch team and he is having a blast!

Last year he was a dandelion picker.  This year he is a player!

He loves playing at the pitchers mound, first, second and of course batting!

It's pretty adorable!

Speaking of baseball, Preston's team took third at a recent local tournament.

They played six games in two days and it was back to back close games with lots of suspense, which makes it really fun to watch!

Peyton's class went to the zoo for an end of year field trip and I jumped at the chance to tag along as a chaperone.

It was a fun filled day checking out the entire MN zoo within about four hours.  The boys in my group were really great and entertaining... and totally tuckered me out...

Parker finished up his 4K year with a picnic and a program.

Parker really thrived in 4K this year, he was sad to say goodbye to his teacher and classmates.  The picnic was a great way to spend one last day swinging, singing and playing with all of his buddies before summer break!

Luckily, his bestest buddy is a neighbor friend so they will still get oodles of play time in during the summer months!

I wonder where Parker gets his handsome looks....

Lilac season came and went... boy do we love the smell of lilac!

Izzy is full grown now and other than her love for chewing on everything... she is seriously the sweetest gal around!

While Peyton and Preston play ball, Parker and I sneak away to the park to play...

He is really excited for next year when he can play ball too.

My other favorite little buddy, Nash, turned three!

It was quite the party and had a "digger" theme!

A swimming station...

A bounce house...

Cupcakes and ice cream sundaes!?

And of course presents!

We have lots of love for that sweet little guy!

I will round out this quick recap post with some lovely color.  One day I came home from running errands with the boys to find a special delivery on my front step....

My super sweet mama sent me some fresh blooms, "just because".  Seriously, how lucky am I!?  They were GORGEOUS and gave me one more reason to smile each day!

    1. The other two boys were not mine, they were the friends of my son.
