a weekend up north

At least once a summer, we head up north to stay with friends at an absolutely lovely cabin only a few hours from home.

Although it is near, it feels worlds away!

Every time we go, we do the same things, but it never ever gets old.

Boating...

Swimming...

Fishing...

Four wheeling...

And lots of exploring!

Bryan and I were amazed that even the moths looked pretty up north!

It rained off and on, but that never stops us from enjoying our time there!

  1. Great pictures Jen! I really need to update my camera... ;-) This is exactly the type of getaway that I've been trying to put together for my family this summer. Was this in WI? I think I might try to plan something in Black River Falls. The kids want to go camping (however my kind of camping is in a cabin) and they want to be able to bring the ATVs. Looks like you found that spot!

  3. Beautiful photos and what a gorgeous family you have! My husband and I just spent a couple nights an hour north of Albany with my sister and her boyfriend at his family's lakefront cabin - it was wonderfully pretty there, oh how i love cabins on lakes at this time of year =)
