As I mentioned in the last post, we had been feeling cooped up! End of winter was hitting us, colds and flu had swept through the house and it was time to GET AWAY!
We had so much fun getting away over spring break to head to our absolute favorite spot, the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells. It's about three hours away, which makes it the perfect quick getaway destination. Plus, the hubs has a conference their annually so the kidlets and I tag along and hang out poolside {or I should say, insane WATERPARK side} while he works.
This year, we also spent a day at the theme park!
The kids and I always take a ride {or seven} on the ferris wheel:
And play a relaxed game of mini-golf...
This year, Preston gave the rope course a whirl:
Peyton couldn't wait to let out some energy to climb the rock wall!
Once Bryan was done with his conferences for the day, we would always meet up for dinner!
I giggle that Preston is at that "cool" age where he can't be seen where pig hats anymore... we don't let him get away with it though!
After dinner we love to hit up the bowling ally for a couple of games before we call it a night.
We stayed for a couple of days, just relaxing and playing and eating. Such a fun experience that we all look forward to every year! All of our daily distractions disappear and we really focus on our time together... and it really doesn't get much better than that!

It sounds like you guys had a wonderful break. Amazing looking resort and perfect for the chilly weather!
ReplyDeleteI love the Dells! We have never been to Kalahari though... but after seeing your picks I think we will making a winter getaway to there next year. That place looks awesome! Glad you guys had fun.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! We were there last month. We live about 75 min from the Dells and usually go 10-12 times a year
ReplyDeleteJust wondering where the indoor amusement park is? Is it part of the Kalahari resort? Looks like a lot of fun :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a blast! And yes, the theme park is actually attached to the Kalahari resort. It's a great place for families and kids since everything is all in one spot! <3
