Egg Breakfast

This weekend was a milestone for me.

I know to 98% of you other fabulous moms out there, that I sound really lame when I say I am really excited.  Excited that this weekend I cooked my kids breakfast and it wasn't in the form of a box of cereal or a frozen waffle.

Bryan typically cooks a large Sunday breakfast every weekend.  He is the chef in our family.  I was not blessed with those genes.

This weekend he was gone helping his aunt move.

It was up to me to make our Sunday brunch.  And I did.  Eggs, sausage, toast and OJ.

I think it's important we celebrate our accomplishments, even when they are as simple as making scrambled eggs.

  2. Way to go! Sometimes it is easier just to do the quick breakfast, but every now & then calls for some good old scrabbled eggs. I did the same!

  5. Way to go Jen!! I completely understand! My husband is the cook as well. I try a few things here and there but the kitchen is his world lol. We are the lucky ones who have husband that enjoy cooking and cook well. ;) I experimented with an egg omelet type of breakfast sandwich this morning...lol. He liked it but I still think it will take a couple tries to get it just right. So good job on the the family breakfast!! I'm sure you're boys loved it.
